Blooming of our splendid hibiscus

His majesty the "Manipura" hibiscus which we have been growing for over 40 years in the Agriturismo Fattoria Didattica Il Giardino di Manipura has blossomed. A unique variety of its kind because it has been selected and reproduced by us with flowers that can measure up to 40 cm.

Hibiscus in the kitchen to delight your palate

A flower that, in addition to being beautiful in the garden, is also good in the kitchen and an ally of our natural well-being. In the kitchen it can be used for high-value recipes, such as risottos paired with fish, desserts such as madeleines, muffins, jellies, mousses and cakes. In our cuisine, hibiscus is the basis of karkadè, ideal to drink chilled on hot summer days; in syrups as a thirst-quenching drink or in Manipura ice cream, naturally colored pink and with an irresistible flavour!

Due to its properties that are good for our health, hibiscus dried in our Oligea laboratories is also one of the main ingredients of our organic Natura in Tazza Oligea herbal teas, a mix of organic herbs, fruits and flowers that we grow in our lands and that we mix to offer you hot or cold drinks to drink at different times of the day for your well-being!

Come and admire the flowering of our hibiscus!

Every year, in July and August, come to admire and immortalize the beauty of the spectacle of their flowering. You will be able to participate in the many workshops with hibiscus as the protagonist and taste our zero-mile delicacies accompanied by our hibiscus syrup!

Last Saturday 15th July, on the occasion of the first flowering of our hibiscus, many artists reproduced beautiful works on canvas immersed in the nature of our garden! On the same day, many little artists, our Manipura children, freed their imagination, having their own dedicated station for drawing and painting! Thanks to all the friends from Manipura, painters and otherwise, who came to visit us and made this day special! If you weren't able to attend, don't worry, we will repeat the day next year in July!
